Keep Belongings Safe & Sound In Care Homes

Most Stikins ® labels are used to label children’s school uniform and kit. However, some of our name labels serve a different purpose. They are used in residential care and nursing homes to label the personal belongings of residents. This provides a little extra peace of mind – to residents, relatives, and staff.

Stick On Name Labels To Keep Belongings Safe In Shared Spaces

Nursing and residential care homes rely on shared spaces and facilities. This means residents’ personal belongings can get mixed up or go missing from time to time. Stick on name labels are a simple way to make sure items are easily returned to their rightful owner.

We use a unique adhesive, which allows them to stick firmly onto all sorts of items. These items can then be put through washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, and microwaves. They are bright white labels personalised with a bold, black font, which makes them clear and easy to read. They measure 30mm by 15mm, which is a neat and discrete addition to personal belongings of all shapes and sizes.

Stikins ® labels can be used on fabric items such as clothing, bedding, and linens. They should be applied onto the wash-care label, not directly onto the material of the item itself. They can also be used on other items including footwear, medical supplies, food and drink containers, books, and digital devices.

Unfortunately, Stikins ® labels are not suitable for socks. Socks do not have wash-care labels and constantly flex around the foot while worn. This means that there isn’t a consistent surface for our name labels to bond with successfully. If you do apply Stikins onto socks (as some of our customers do), they may peel off over time.

Stikins ® name labels can be personalised however you wish. For residents of residential care and nursing homes, customers usually request a name (or a nickname, if a resident is normally known by one) or a name and a room number. We can also print additional information, such as allergies or medical conditions.
